Niman K. Shukairy, D.D.S.

Dr. Niman Shukairy has been practicing dentistry since 2002, when he graduated from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with a major in biology, with the first two years at University of Michigan-Flint.

Dr. Shukairy has done continuing education in orthodontics, crown lengthening surgery (gums), snoring and sleep apnea appliances, oral surgery, as well as cosmetic dentistry.

In his spare time, Dr. Shukairy enjoys basketball, volleyball, biking, reading, and watching sports. He has been married for seven years and has two lovely daughters, Amena who is 6 years old, and Ayah who is 3 years old.

About Our Staff:

Kim Konopka - Office Manager

Kim, our office manager, has been with Flushing Family Dental Care since November 2004. She has extensive experience with all types of dental benefit plans. Kim has been working in the dental field for over 20 years in various positions ranging from front desk to clinical assistant. She loves working with people and is very helpful in explaining fees, co-pays, and insurance coverages with all types of insurances.

Kim is currently happily married with 4 children and two step children. She enjoys animals and has several pets at home.

Linda Clifford - Dental Hygienist

Linda has been a part of Flushing Family Dental Care since 2001. She has over 20 years experience as a registered dental hygienist. She strives to help patients achieve and maintain the most optimal oral health possible. Her goal is always to make sure our patients have healthy, happy smiles.

Linda had a daughter in college and loves animals. She has 2 dogs, a cat, and 4 tarantulas. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, reading, and watching Pistons Basketball.

Teresa Selleck - Dental Hygienist

Teresa has been part of the Flushing Family Dental Care Team since 2003. She has been practicing dental hygiene for seven years. She graduated from the Mott Community College Dental Hygiene program in 1998. She excels at individualizing care to our patients and making each and every patient feel comfortable in the dental chair.

Teresa enjoys boating, volleyball, camping, travelling, and exercise. She has been married for four lovely years.

Heather Mahoney- Clinical Assistant

Heather Mahoney is our primary clinical assistant. She has been a dental assistant for over 10 years. She has been with us since June 2006. Heather has great experience in making the dental visit and comfortable and pleasant one. She works well with children as well as adults and can answer any questions our patients have. She is a vital part of the excellent dental care we strive to provide.

Heather is a caring wife and mother of 2 beautiful children and 3 beautiful step-children. She enjoys traveling and drive-in movies. For Heather, family comes first.

Heather Carroll- Clinical/Front Desk Assistant

Heather Carroll is our second assistant and also helps with the front office duties. She has been with us since March 2006. She received a certificate in phlebotomy in 2005. She also has worked as a veterinarian assistant at the Flushing Animal Hospital. She is a fast learner and has shown tremendous care to all our patients. She has great joy in helping people feel better about their smile and teaching them about improving their oral health.

Heather was recently engaged and has a beautiful 6 year old daughter, Paige. She enjoys camping.
